About Jabari Ali Parker

Jabari Parker is a 20 year old professional basketball star who plays for the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA. Parker, a son of former NBA player Sonny Parker, went to Simeon Career Academy in high school. While in school, he and his team won four consecutive state championships. The regional companies of McDonald’s and Gatorade named Parker National High School Player of the Year. After graduation, he attended Duke University and played for the Duke Blue Devils. He received several honors the year he played for the Devils, including All-American Award and the USBA National Freshman of the Year. He also came in second for the College Player of the Year Award, also known as the John R. Wooden Award. Parker had an illustrious experience playing college basketball. He won several awards and set many records.

In 2014, Parker was the second choice in the NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. According to sources, he was represented by Rich Paul, the same man who manages LeBron James. Around the same time, he signed a contract to endorse the Jordan brand of shoes. He signed to play with the Bucks in the summer of 2014 and played in the NBA Summer League. His fellow players voted him to most likely be the Rookie of the Year and the most likely to score big in the league. When he debuted with the Bucks in the fall of last year, he made several notable scores in games with the Charlotte Hornets, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Brooklyn Nets. In his very first game, he had scored 8 points in just the first half hour. True to his peers’ predictions, he was named Rookie of the Month in the Eastern Conference. Toward the end of the 2014 season, Parker had an ACL injury that affected him into the early part of this year.
